Tree removal in White Oak, TX
Longview's next-door neighbor to the west.
White Oak borders Longview on the west. In the late 1800s it was a farming community with three sawmills on forested land, and by 1884 about 15 families lived there. Local tales say the name came from two white oak trees standing on either side of the schoolhouse built in 1887 on land donated near a spring. The town grew with the 1930s oil boom, kept growing after World War II, and incorporated in 1960.

Tree work in White Oak
White Oak is a separate city from Longview, so Longview's free bulky pickup and compost drop-off, which depend on a Longview residential sanitation account, aren't available to White Oak homes. Ask the City of White Oak about brush collection and any tree rules. If your lines come from SWEPCO, its trimming rules are the ones on the trimming page; if another utility serves you, ask that utility.
Before any stump is ground with powered equipment to 16 inches or deeper, Texas law calls for an 811 notice at least 48 hours ahead, weekdays only.
