Tree removal in Hallsville, TX
Harrison County, about 10 miles east of Longview.
Hallsville sits on U.S. 80 about 10 miles east of Longview and 13 miles west of Marshall, the Harrison County seat. Settlement started in 1839 with Fort Crawford, about a mile west of today's town. When the Southern Pacific crossed a mile north in 1869, settlers moved to the tracks and named the new stop for a railroad official; the post office opened as "Hallville" and changed to Hallsville in the 1920s. The town incorporated in 1870, lapsed, and reincorporated in 1935.

Tree work in Hallsville
Hallsville is outside Longview, so Longview's free brush pickup and compost drop-off don't apply; ask the City of Hallsville what it collects, or plan for the contractor to haul the wood. Land outside city limits falls to Harrison County; we didn't find county tree rules in a citable form, so ask the county.
Where a tree has open room to fall, it can often be dropped whole; Angi notes that tight, hard-to-reach spots often add 25% to 50% to removal prices. See the cost page and, for acreage, lot clearing.

Common questions
Do Longview's brush rules apply in Hallsville?
No. Longview's free bulky pickup and compost drop-off are tied to a Longview residential sanitation account. Ask the City of Hallsville.
Have the tree looked at
Phone the number or use the form; a tree contractor from the Longview area returns the call and arranges to see the job. There's no fee for asking.
